Location- Dubai
The primary responsibilities associated with this position are as follows:
• To coach the local management team on QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety) matters, and setting, monitoring, and achievement of QEHS objectives.
• Implement and maintain the QEHS Management System in accordance with global directives, ensuring compliance with ISO standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Lead the deployment of global QEHS initiatives and drive continuous improvement in quality, safety, health, and environmental performance.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programmes to enhance team competencies and promote a proactive QEHS culture.
• Plan and execute internal audits of the Management System, and coordinate DNV audits, to ensure adherence to both regulatory and corporate requirements. Conduct Root Cause Analysis, implement corrective actions for audit findings.
• Perform systematic risk assessments to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses, and ensure the implementation of robust risk mitigation measures.
• Investigate EHS incidents and non-conformities, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when appropriate, and execute corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify, monitor, and ensure adherence to EHS-related legal and regulatory obligations.
• Facilitate Lesson Learned sessions, disseminating outcomes to relevant stakeholders to support knowledge transfer and process improvement.
• Support business for collecting customer feedback (CEM), ensuring timely execution of follow-up actions.
• Lead the safety committee, fostering a strong safety culture and coordinating associated initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with Field Service, Agreements site, Projects, and Workshop teams to maintain high QEHS standards and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Develop QEHS procedures as needed and lead emergency response activities.
• Serve as the company's sustainability coordinator, actively contributing to the advancement of environmental objectives.
• Work closely with the Area Security Manager on security-related issues.
Requirements
• An Engineering Diploma or Degree, complemented by at least 15 years of field experience in Field Service, Operation & Maintenance, QEHS, Project / Construction Management, Shipyard, Manufacturing, or Workshops.
• Academic background in QEHS, NEBOSH Certification, ISO Internal Auditor qualification, or other relevant certifications will be considered advantageous.
• Knowledge of local EHS regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve QEHS goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Customer-focused mindset.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with shipyard QEHS protocols, offshore safety regulations, SOLAS, MARPOL and customer-specific HSE systems is highly desirable.
