We are now looking for a 

Shipping customs & export control officer (m/f/d)

to join our team working for a better future. 

The location for the position is in Elmenhorst/Rostock, Germany. 

What you will be doing 

You will execute all working steps in the shipping process on MES at the site in Elmenhorst. Our team is ensuring proper, cost-effective, appropriate and timely shipping in compliance with legal requirements in foreign trade and legally compliant export control management. As part of the logistics and SCM our team ensure that business receives products in time.

As Shipping customs & export control officer your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

• Review and correct delivery instructions
• Arranging for appropriate packaging from service providers
• Preparation of all documents required for shipping
• Dangerous goods processing in accordance with ADR and IATA regulations
• Preparation of export declarations
• Commissioning import customs clearance from customs agents
• Obtaining transport offers and selecting carriers
• Processing of third-party deliveries
• Processing of letter of credit deliveries
• Checking and accounting of invoices for packaging and transport
• Partly also hands on operational tasks in the shipping process (part of the logistics team on site)
• Contract review with regard to export control, customs and forwarding issues
• Evaluation of export control hits as part of the sanctions list check, embargo check in SAP-GTS
• Support for customs and foreign trade audits
• Application for export licenses
• Contact for / communication with German authorities Customs, BAFA, Federal Statistical Office, etc.

You will shine in this role when you have:

• Training as a freight forwarding, foreign trade or industrial clerk
• Approximately 2 years of relevant professional experience
• Valid training for dangerous goods (ADR + IATA) (nth)
• Knowledge of customs processes
• Experience with Shipping inbound and outbound; national and international
• A systematic and active approach to work
• Good skills in communication and team work
• Cost focus
• Good skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP
• Experience in the field of export control
• Fluent written and spoken German and good English skills

Sachbearbeiter Versand, Zoll & Exportkontrolle (m/w/d)

zur Erweiterung unseres Teams in Elmenhorst/Rostock.

Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben als Sachbearbeiter Versand, Zoll & Exportkontrolle gehören:

• Überprüfung und Korrektur von Lieferanweisungen
• Beauftragung sachgerechter Verpackung bei Dienstleistern
• Vorbereitung aller für den Versand erforderlichen Dokumente
• Gefahrgutabwicklung gemäß ADR- und IATA-Vorschriften
• Erstellung von Ausfuhrerklärungen
• Beauftragung der Importzollabfertigung bei Zollagenten
• Einholung von Transportangeboten und Auswahl von Frachtführern
• Abwicklung von Streckenlieferungen (Reihengeschäfte)
• Abwicklung von Akkreditivlieferungen
• Prüfung und Kontierung von Rechnungen für Verpackung und Transport
• Teilweise auch operative Aufgaben im Versandprozess (Teil des Logistikteams vor Ort)
• Vertragsprüfung im Hinblick auf exportkontrollrechtliche, zollrechtliche- und speditionelle Aspekte
• Auswertung von Exportkontrolltreffern im Rahmen der Sanktionslistenprüfung, Embargoprüfung in SAP-GTS
• Unterstützung bei Zoll- und Außenwirtschaftsprüfungen
• Beantragung von Ausfuhrgenehmigungen
• Kontakt zu / Kommunikation mit deutschen Behörden Zoll, BAFA, Statistisches Bundesamt, etc.

Was wir von Ihnen erwarten:
 

• Ausbildung zum/zur Speditions-, Außenhandels- oder Industriekaufmann/-frau
• Ca. 2 Jahre einschlägige Berufserfahrung
• Gültige Ausbildung für Gefahrgut (ADR + IATA) (n.)
• Kenntnisse der Zollabwicklung
• Erfahrung mit ein- und ausgehendem Versand; national und international
• Eine systematische und aktive Arbeitsweise
• Gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten und Teamarbeit
• Kostenorientierung
• Gute Kenntnisse in Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP
• Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Exportkontrolle
• Fließendes Deutsch in Wort und Schrift und gute Englischkenntnisse
