Field Service Technician, Energy Storage & Optimization

We are seeking an enthusiastic Energy Storage & Optimization Field Service Technician to join our rapidly growing team. This role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to develop expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), energy storage optimization, and field service operations. Responsibilities:
- Assist with commissioning, maintenance, and warranty activities for energy storage systems, under the mentorship of senior technicians/engineers.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site solutions as you develop your skills.
- Contribute to process improvements and help refine operational workflows.
- Produce Service Work Reports and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in field tests and assist with their execution and follow-up.
- Support the local team during application training and customer meetings.
What You Bring:
- High School Diploma.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- A strong interest in energy systems, with the eagerness to learn about BESS and related technologies (prior experience not required).
- Willingness to learn about programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical protection devices, and fire safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with customers.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 80%).
- A genuine interest in energy storage and optimization.
- Basic electrical knowledge required, strong desire to learn about BESS Systems is essential.
- Basic knowledge of fire safety or an interest in learning BESS-related fire safety protocols is a plus.
Training: In this role, you will also receive training in fire maintenance for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), including:
- Regular checks on battery components and system connections.
- Understanding monitoring systems to detect early signs of issues.
- Ensuring proper ventilation and safety measures to minimize fire risks.
- Calibration of CO sensors, H2 sensors, and Vesda panels.

For applicants that reside in CA, the salary/salary range/hourly wage range is $48,514 - $90,098.
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods. Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
