Service Engineer - Mechanical 4-Stroke (m/f)

The preferred location for the position is in Esposende, Portugal but also considering from North & Central of Portugal.
The successful applicants must be authorized to work in Portugal without sponsorship.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Engineer - Mechanical 4-Stroke, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, overhauls, and repairs on 4-stroke engines and mechanical systems
- Diagnose faults and identify root causes in complex mechanical equipment
- Support customers on-site in Portugal and internationally
- Execute commissioning, testing, and system adjustments
- Prepare detailed service and technical reports
- Ensure work is carried out in line with Wärtsilä safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong customer communication
What you bring
- Technical background in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience with 4-stroke engines and mechanical systems
- Hands-on troubleshooting and field service experience
- Ability to work independently in dynamic environments
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience in marine or power plant environments
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines
- Experience with commissioning and installations
