Wärtsilä’s Marine Power Marketing team is responsible for delivering world-class customer experience across the world through our digital and non-digital channels, with the clear goal of driving revenue in a measurable way. The mission of the Operations & Digital Acceleration team is simple yet ambitious: make Wärtsilä the forerunner in B2B marketing worldwide.

 

The General Manager Marketing, Operations & Digital Acceleration will play a key leadership role within the Marine Power Marketing function and must be able to understand the ‘big picture’ from a financial, ROI, and strategic perspective; helping the rest of the marketing function identify and leverage technical and strategic opportunities to accelerate growth and drive sales across all our Business Units and Business Lines, globally. In addition, they will lead, manage & integrate the needed processes within the Marine Power marketing team, ensuring operational excellence.

 

Due to the nature of this role we are open to any geogrpahical location in which we are present and there is also possibility to work remotely

As a General Manager Marketing, Operations & Digital Acceleration, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Leading the creation of an infrastructure and process to craft experiential, digitally inspired, and impactful Campaigns (across all customer touchpoints), actively contributing in setting goals / targets / KPIs, and acting as Digital Marketing Consultant / Subject-Matter Expert in all related go-to-market discussions.
  • Sitting in the MB Marketing Management Team understanding the requirements of our customers / segments / areas and business and influencing strategy and tactics to drive higher ROI.
  • Consistently deliver campaign execution, marketing development and marketing measurability to the highest standard of quality and timeliness.
  • Set team and individual targets; and put in place the strategy to attain them.
  • Represent Marketing Operations in the Marine Power Services Management Team.
  • Act as the resident expert in technical matters, designing and implementing solutions yourself when needed.

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

  • Experience working in or managing a commercial Marketing Operations environment.
  • Extensive experience deploying and administering a CMS, a CRM system and a marketing automation platform.
  • Experience operating in a measurable environment where the performance of each asset, channel and campaign is analysed in detail.
  • End-to-end ideas on what to try next – and the ability to implement those yourself.
  • Experience integrating other MarTec tools: conversational marketing, account-based marketing, predictive optimization, analytics and visualization, etc.
  • Experience and a plan for measuring the impact of marketing.
  • Willingness to learn our customers’ business.
  • Hunger to develop the future of B2B marketing.
  • Relentless passion to make the value of data-driven marketing evident to all internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead, manage, coach and develop a globally-distributed team.
  • Demonstrable experience working with marketing automation and CRM platforms at a deep, architect-like level.
  • Skills and the will to act as the resident expert in technical matters, designing and implementing solutions yourself when needed.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Solid financial skills to manage a budget and measure financial performance.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Ability to navigate a complex matrix of multicultural stakeholders and adapt your influencing strategy to what the situation requires.
  • Proficiency in English is a must.

 

Bonus points if you can bring any of the following with you:

 

  • Certifications covering Pardot or Salesforce, or a stellar Trailhead track record
  • Coding skills, particularly SQL, Python and experience using the APIs of the tools mentioned above
  • Experience in Sitefinity
  • Skills or experience in data science
  • Additional languages
