HR Advisor

HR Advisor

 

to join our team working for a better future.

 

The position is permanent and offers a hybrid working pattern to include two days in Havant, one day at Fareham and two days working remotely.

 

 

What you will be doing

 

We are actively seeking an HR Advisor, and this position will provide the successful applicant with a broad and varied opportunity to be part of a busy and professional HR Function supporting the UK Operations.

 

In this role you will be advising and supporting both the Senior HR team as well as the business stakeholders on various HR matters and you will be reporting to the Head of HR, UK

 

Responsible for delivering a commercially focused and proactive service to multiple UK locations, whilst supporting the execution of strategic HR goals

 

 

As HR Advisor, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

The HR Advisor is responsible for a range of HR processes within the employee lifecycle, including absence management, leavers process, family friendly leave advice, HR data management, routine employee relations cases, and employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives. Specific duties include:

 

  • Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing timely and accurate advice to employees and managers.
  • Managing the HR ticketing system for the UK, ensuring efficient handling and appropriate escalation of queries.
  • Coaching and advising managers on routine employee relations issues such as performance management, attendance, and conduct, while escalating complex matters as needed.
  • Supporting change management activities in conjunction with HR Managers.
  • Assisting with formal investigations, hearings, and employee consultations, ensuring legal compliance in documentation.
  • Leading the absence management process, including policy development, manager training, reporting, analytics, and supporting wellbeing discussions.
  • Supporting the delivery of global HR initiatives such as merit reviews and training.
  • Contributing to project work, for example TUPE transfers.
  • Assisting with the review and update of UK HR policies and processes to maintain compliance and clarity.
  • Supporting cultural change activities and compliance audits.
  • Preparing monthly management team reports and performing general HR administrative duties.
  • Identifying opportunities for HR process improvements and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • The HR Advisor is expected to develop strong relationships with key internal and external customers, demonstrating professional credibility
  • A CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is advantageous but not essential. A demonstrable background in HR is required
  • Working knowledge of basic UK employment legislation and best practices.
  • HR solution creation with results orientation.
  • Application of HR people processes and policy.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Confidentiality, integrity, and adaptability

 

This role requires sufficient SC clearance or ability to obtain sufficient SC clearance.
