Product Sales Manager, Environmental 1

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a Product Sales Manager, Environmental.

Position Responsibilities
• Develop and execute Wartsila Corp's Environmental Strategy with a focus on sales and market development to ensure business growth within the Wartsila UK Ltd Service Unit. The geographical area covered is UK & Ireland.
• Act as Capture Team Leader on Environmental opportunities which include Ballast Water Treatment and Scrubber systems 
• Ensure the UK & Ireland service unit's 'Won Deals Target' and Generated Trade Value (GTV) sales for Environmental systems are met
• Provide the targeted sales funnel value and effectively manage opportunities with timely stage updates in CRM 
• Follow Wartsila Sales processes ensuring correct reviews are conducted and margin targets are achieved
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Environment Business Lines in Marine Solutions, Project Proposals and Services teams
• Create effective relationships with the Service Unit sales account managers and Area Support organizations to facilitate customer introductions
• Ensure good hand over to Project Management of sold projects
• Co-operate with services marketing on campaigns
• Participate on Customer Seminars and conferences
• Maintain a contemporary understanding of legislation and trends driving the environmental business
• Maintain CRM utilization
• Monitor Environmental market and competitor activities and report it to relevant internal stakeholders
• Organize and lead customer events and road shows

Required Competences/Attributes
• Self-driven, outgoing and friendly individual that enjoys engaging with customers and matrixed colleagues, who can present, coordinate and develop bespoke customer solutions (Self-motivated, consulting skills)
• A "hunter" mentality with the ability to work remotely, proactively visiting all potential customers with or without account manager colleagues' involvement to present Wartsila Environmental products (self-starter, proactive, determined)
• Ability to take an opportunity from FEED (Front End Engineering Design) stage to completion and close project deals (Project Opportunity Management skills, project sales skills) 
• Able to collaborate with internal stakeholders to build customer proposals and progress an effective follow-up internally as well as externally (relationship-building, communication, bid management skills)
• Previous experience with Wartsila customer base on Environmental business desired (Environmental market knowledge) 
• Fluent in written and spoken English 

Education
• The ideal candidate will have a professional education as Bachelor or Master of Science in a technical area or equivalent experience; a Shipping background is preferred
