Project Engineer
to join our team for a better future.
This position is a permanent opportunity, and its location is in UK.
As a Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Implementing modern IT solutions for marine ports, which involves participating in hardware and software installation, commissioning, and supervising local subcontractors and suppliers.
- Creating and reviewing project technical specifications, system design drawings, and scope of supply.
- Identifying and evaluating technical solutions, preferred models, and vendors for 3rd party equipment within the scope of supply.
- Providing customer support via email, phone, and on-site visits.
- Conducting quality control of completed work.
- Adhering to internal company and functional policies and procedures.
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Please be prepared to travel globally approximately 50%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
In order to excel in this role, we are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications and skills:
- Proficiency in computer and IT skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft and Cisco systems
- A BSc in IT engineering and/or relevant IT/Electronics/CAD certification
- Strong troubleshooting and technical skills, as well as the ability to envision solutions and plan tasks for themselves and subordinates
- At least 5 year of apprenticeship or work experience in a similar role
- A keen interest in modern PC hardware, virtualization, and networks
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
An additional advantage for the candidate would be:
- Cisco CCNP certification or better
- MCSA certification
- Knowledge in RADAR, VHF, AIS, ECDIS, GMDSS
