We are looking for a proactive Field Services Resource Planner to ensure our customers receive timely, high-quality support from our Field Service teams. Based in either Aberdeen or Fareham with hybrid working, you will coordinate the end-to-end resourcing of field assignments—optimising personnel utilisation, managing travel and compliance, and collaborating closely with Sales, Contract Management and Operations to deliver excellent service. 

 


What will you be doing?


Your work will focus, but are not limited to, these responsibilities:

  • Plan Resources for the Field Service Orders received
  • Ensure the best use and availability of the Field Service personnel encompassing coordination of Visa’s, medicals, travel documents etc
  • Liaise closely with Sales / Sales Support, Contract Management and Operations to ensure best possible delivery of service to the customer
  • Forecasting long, medium and short-term demands across customer operations, based on key inputs from across the business
  • Prioritising and reprioritising all current and incoming requests for resources
  • Support in booking the training needs for the resources within own team, particularly related to On Job Training
  • Maintain the Field Service Resources planning board
  • Ensuring all team members receive initial instructions and are provided with adequate information to successfully complete all tasks to expectations from Operations
  • Resolving and managing the process around shortfalls and planning clashes
  • To comply with the company’s Quality, Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies

 

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience in workforce/resource planning, scheduling or operations coordination—ideally within field services, maintenance, marine, energy, or industrial services
  • Strong planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills with a calm, decisive approach under time pressure
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to coordinate across Sales, Operations and Service teams
  • Proficiency with planning/scheduling tools and MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with ERP/field service systems is an advantage
  • Ability to interpret demand forecasts and capacity data to make data-informed decisions
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to QHSE standards and process discipline
  • Team player with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Technical background, knowledge or experience is considered a strong advantage
