We are now looking for a Sales Manager – Transactional Sales (Spare parts)
The position is permanent, and the preferred location is in Fareham, UK with a hybrid work model.
What you will be doing
As a Sales Manager – Transactional Sales (Spare parts) you will drive transactional spare parts sales growth by proactively following up quotations, converting opportunities into orders, and identifying revenue potential within dormant and under-served accounts. Maintain regular customer engagement, capture market insights, and ensure accurate CRM updates while collaborating with sales teams to maximize conversion and pipeline performance
As a Sales Manager – Transactional Sales (Spare parts), your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Proactively follow up spare parts quotations within the agreed scope (e.g. quotations below €30k).
- Contact customers to understand order status, purchase intentions and reasons for non-conversion.
- Drive incremental transactional order intake by converting existing quotations into confirmed orders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities within long-tail, dormant and under-served customer accounts.
- Maintain regular customer contact to support relationship development and increase share of wallet.
- Capture customer insights including competitor activity, pricing challenges, delivery expectations and purchasing trends.
- Ensure all customer interactions and opportunity updates are recorded within CRM.
- Work closely with Account Managers and Sales Managers to escalate larger opportunities and strategic discussions.
- Monitor transactional sales pipeline performance and identify unattended opportunities.
- Contribute to regional growth initiatives by providing market intelligence and customer feedback.
- Support continuous improvement of transactional sales processes, tools and ways of working.
- Prepare and report transactional sales activity, conversion rates and order intake performance metrics.
- You will also be responsible for Financial Order intake, Margin and Market share on both a customer and region level providing customer satisfaction and strategic goals.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Fluency in English
- Experience in the commercial sales, ideally within spare parts field in marine/energy/heavy-industry sector
- Sound commercial understanding
- Knowledge of CRM (ideally Salesforce) would be an advantage
