We are now looking for a
Sales Manager – Navy
to join our team working for a better future. The position is Hybrid which includes attending our office in Fareham regularly, but other Wartsila UK locations are also possible.
As Sales Manager – Navy, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Build and maintain close contact between the company with UK MOD personnel and Prime Contractors that lead to new product sales, services and solutions.
- Lead and manage sales accounts to meet strategic goals.
- Lead and/or participate in sales projects in own responsibility area and report the progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Setting targets and reviewing the performance with the GM Sales.
- Execute or/and define action plans.
- Maintain a CRM opportunity pipeline according to guidelines and issue visit reports within agreed timescales
- Develop an understanding of our customers business in order to create suitable and compelling valued offering that will enhance their business
- Maintain regular contact by visiting key personnel in customer organisations and to present the offering of all category products in a manner reflecting the Company's values
- Assist customers with budget planning for maintenance of Wartsila Marine products, where identified
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record in delivering business results, RN Naval background desirable.
- Commercial: Eager to grow the business, close the deals - still securing required profit margins.
- Consultative negotiation skills, proficient at negotiations, both technically and commercially and able to close deals
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage, build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
- Presentation skills, ability to adapt the messaging to the audience, preferably with the ability to present and talk confidently to an audience.
- In this role, travel is required to meet with our customers nationally. You will be expected to travel approximately 50% of the time.
