Architect, Cloud Security

Information Security organization is responsible for the oversight and coordination of information security efforts across the company and is responsible for identifying security standards, initiatives, as well as setting the strategic direction of the firm’s information security program. Information Security drives risk management as well as security compliance and serves as the key organization responsible with helping the business appropriately manage security risks.


Architect, Cyber/Cloud Security will be developing and driving the implementation of a security architecture and making sure that security best practices are implemented and managed at a consistent level across the company (Wärtsilä infrastructure) according to the objectives of Information Security. 
Join our great team with this new and global role which is based in Helsinki or possibly in another Wärtsilä main hub with the required ability to travel as is reasonable. Architect, Cyber/Cloud Security reports to Director, Information Security


Key Responsibilities


1. Drive implementation of a security architecture that supports Wärtsilä goals and deliverables, through strategy, design and requirements in co-operation with other support functions and business
2. Identify and manage risks for projects in active development in multi-cloud environment
3. Collaborate with other teams and partners to incorporate strong security controls, apply security best practices and propose mitigations to security vulnerabilities.
4. Understanding and introducing of new technologies 

Detailed responsibility area is agreed and defined with selected person.


General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

• Strong experience with multi-cloud platform services and cloud security controls and preferably hands-on experience with at least one of these: Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Thorough understanding of what it takes to build and operate secure systems at scale.
• Passion for building secure, reliable and scalable services in collaboration with multiple teams.
• Excellence at creating clarity and alignment for technical initiatives. 
• Ability to lead and resolve company-wide technical discussions.
• Security-related certifications a plus – CRISC, CISSP, CISM, etc.
