General Manager, Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT)

We are seeking a General Manager PSIRT (Product Security Incident Reponse Team) within Wärtsilä Cyber security organization to lead and develop cyber security capabilities for Wärtsilä products. As a lead of PSIRT you will work in the context of product security and cyber security service development with both internal and external customers and co-operate across all Wärtsilä business lines and external customers.

 

Your primary role will be to develop and orchestrate Incirent Response and vulnerability advisory services for Wärtsilä products and build both organic capabilities and strategic partnerships for PSIRT.

 

As a team member you will have an opportunity to influence and work also on product cyber security development beyond the immediate PSIRT responsibility area based on your background and preference.


Location for this position is open but preferably in Finland.

 

Main responsibilities

 

• PSIRT capabilities development (processes & tools)
  o Develop the PSIRT capabilities, procedures, network and partnerships
  o Develop capabilities for operating asset management, vulnerability and incident management process and in co-operation with internal stakeholders and customers, both Marine and Energy
• PSIRT services development
  o Develop reactive and proactive PSIRT services and service roadmaps for all Wärtsilä business divisions
  o Assist in financial model and resourcing planning for new capabilities and services
  o Lead and co-ordinate the incident management operations
• Product security cyber security risk reduction and support
  o Develop reporting of incidents and risk posture for all business divisions
  o Conducting and supporting product security improvement activities
  o Propose improvements for how to reduce risk and potential future incidents
• Ownership of the Wärtsilä vulnerability disclosure policy and process

 

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Automation and Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science or an equivalent degree and professional experience
• Minimum 5 years working experience in cyber security with expertise and experience in the field of security incident response
• Experience of operating systems, IT/OT technologies and protocols and network infrastructure equipment
• Knowledge of risk assessment, security threats and vulnerabilities
• Understanding of modern technologies for asset management, malware and vulnerabilities detection and management
• Strong problem-solving and analytics skills
• Strong organisational, co-ordination, communication and collaborations skills
• Strong leadership skills for multinational virtual teams
• Ability to withstand high work pressure

 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

 

• Knowledge on multi-vendor automation products (e.g. DCS, SCADA, Historian, HMI, PLC, IED) and processes, preferably in energy or marine industry
• CISSP, CISM, SANS/GRID or other security certification
• Experience in developing and testing cyber security solutions and controls
• Experience in security lifecycle development (SDL)
