Cyber Security Specialist, OT Infrastructure Services

Our Information Security organisation is responsible for the global oversight and coordination management of information security and is responsible for identifying security standards, initiatives, as well as setting the strategic direction of the firm’s information security program. We drive risk management as well as security compliance and serve as the key organisation responsible with helping the business appropriately manage security risks.


As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be responsible and accountable for our OT Infrastructure Services making sure that they are at consistent level across the company according to the objectives of Information Security.


Come join a great team with this new global role which is based in Vassa, Finland or possibly in another Wärtsilä main hub with the required ability to travel is reasonable.


This is a permanent position and you will report into the Director, Information Security


Your responsibilities will include


  • Responsible for Wärtsilä internal OT infrastructure operations (e.g. NOC, PC management, Asset management, Remote connectivity) in co-operation with IM, other Cyber teams and suppliers.
  • Analyse and define existing structure for existing firewalls to ensure they align with key principles
  • Aid in combatting cyber crime by providing effective security architecture
  • Participate in monthly supplier management meetings and ensuring optimum performance is achieved
  • Conduct accurate OT invoice management
  • Drive continuous improvement activities
  • Lead and participate in migrations and new OT network segregations related preparations


What we hope you have


  • Proven background with working within Opertaional Technology security
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of leading cyber security practices
  • Knowledge of standard security operating processes and procedures
  • Networking and interfacing knowledge of Operational Technolgy including control systems from a wide range of vendors
  • Knowledge of firewalls, routers, network access control systems, incident response techniques and intrusion prevention systems
  • Knowledge of NIS Directive and industry standards
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly communicate and excellent consulting skills
  • Flexible approach to work with the ability to multi tasks and set priorities
  • Fluent in the English language
  • Security-related certifications is considered a plus - CRISC, CISSP, CISM
