We are now looking for a
Mechanical Superintendent
to join our team working for a better future.
The position is permanent and the location is in Malta.
What you will be doing
As Mechanical Superintendent, you oversees and coordinates maintenance engineer resources and activities at sites, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position will report to the maintenance lead.
As Mechanical Superintendent, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Coordinates and supervises maintenance activities, acting as a leading technical expert in the field, planning activities, and managing resources and schedules to meet customer requirements. Conducts field audits to assess field service capabilities and operations, ensuring alignment with plans and customer expectations.
- Provides expert technical guidance and support to maintenance team, ensuring adherence to quality standards and processes. Mentors and develops maintenance personnel, promoting skill enhancement and professional growth.
- Manages communication between field location and the company to ensure up-to-date shared awareness of activities, efficient coordination and decision making.
- Captures lessons learned from field location to continuously improve activities.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and the set guidelines and processes during field service activities. Completes needed reporting and administrative activities.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- 4-stroke gas engine knowledge.
- Field service experience in similar role, at least 5 years.
- Possesses proficient technical knowledge of relevant products and service areas.
- Teamwork and Leadership: Coordinates, plans and prioritizes activities of maintenance activities to ensure timely delivery.
- Communication and Networking: Develops and maintains ongoing positive internal/external relationships relevant to own area of work. Cost awareness & effectiveness.
- Customer understanding and technical communication.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English and Italian.
In this role, some travel is required to support other installations within Europe. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 30%.
