Electrical Maintenance Supervisor

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment, instruments and control systems in the plant and associated facilities.
What will you be doing:
Your work will focus on these main responsibilities:
- Perform work of high skill in the repair, inspection, testing, adjustment, installation and removal of all electronic and electrical plant equipment and systems. Supervise Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Technicians.
- Supervise Electrical and I & C Technicians in performing preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and systems, including emergency backup systems
- Oversee the inspection, repair, installation and removal of all types of motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems and storage batteries.
- Maintain equipment files, logs and drawings for all designated equipment and ensure that the data files are completed and current
- Complete other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager.
- Develop and implement training program for subordinates.
- Enforces environmental regulation
- Provide technical support to the electrical team to ensure correct procurement of correct and suitable replacement equipment and manage stock levels.
- Effective control of Subcontractors performing electrical
- Keeps abreast of innovative developments and applies them when applicable
- Maintain, control and further develop Electrical procedures for all operations
You will shine in this role, when you have:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent preferred; Electrical training
- E&A knowledge /practice skill
- PLC knowledge /practice skill
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and instrumentation control systems
- Medium speed diesel experience
Supervisory experience
- GEMS knowledge or experience (plus additional)
- PV generation systems knowledge /practice skill (plus additional)
- Battery storage systems knowledge /practice skill (plus additional)
- wind turbines systems knowledge /practice skill (plus additional)
- Electrical knowledge LV / MV / HV components
- Willing to relocate to Fort Dauphin
- English language.

- Teamwork skills
- Wärtsilä quality, safety & environment knowledge would be an advantage.
