2-Stroke Product Sales Manager, Americas

We are looking for a Product Sales Manager to join our 2-Stroke Service Sales team. This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate would ideally be in Fort Lauderdale Florida, USA without the need for sponsorship however other geographical locations would be considered.


What will you be doing

As a 2-Stroke Product Sales Manager you will be in charge of developing strong and effective relationships customer and internal stake holders in the R1 Region. Creating awareness of our 2-Stroke Engine Services offerings with our customers as well as within our own company mainly with account managers or Sales Champions to increase their engagement of our 2-Stroke Engine Services.


The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Enginenering and sales/technical experience in the Maritime industry. As a Product Sales Manager for 2-Stroke Services, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Promote available solutions within the Americas Region and Regional Sales organization and directly to customers
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities, and develop and win them in close collaboration with customers and the relevant internal stakeholders
  • Occasionally act as Capture Team Leader and ensure collaboration in capture teams and involvement of relevant stakeholders at right time
  • Ensure compliance with key steps in opportunity management and sales process, and promote active usage of CRM
  • Closely collaborate with the global 2-stroke & Other OEM Service Sales Support & Development team for growth focus areas
  • Maintain Area overview of key opportunities, follow up sales pipeline with regional stakeholders and provide regular pipeline status reports
  • Train and coach 2-stroke & Other OEM Service sales team and sales champions in regions on the available and new solutions for all 2-stroke & Other OEM Service categories
  • Analyze Area and regional markets and customer needs and provide feedback to the global 2-stroke & Other OEM Service Sales Support & Development team
  • Co-develop new and/or customized solutions together with customers and the global 2-stroke & Other OEM Service functions
  • Develop good understanding of customers' business drivers and what solutions add true value to their business
  • Closely collaborate with Marine Business, Energy Business and WinGD Sales newbuild sales stakeholders, also promote their respective new products, and identify 2-stroke & Other OEM Service opportunities in newbuild sales projects
  • Join newbuilding sales meetings with Marine Business, Energy Business and/or WinGD Sales and support them to win newbuild projects with the support of our lifecycle solutions offering.
  • Ensure collaboration with other Business Lines of RMS and/or PSS, to capture extended services opportunities. Develop strong and effective relationships with customer and internal stake holders in the Americas Region.
  • Create awareness of our 2-Stroke Engine Services offerings with our customers, as well as within our own company mainly with Account Managers or Sales Champions to increase their engagement of our 2-Stroke Engine Services.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Equivalent
  • Sales and Technical experience in the Maritime industry (2-Stroke engines preferred).
  • Good Presentation and Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive individual who is not afraid to get stuck in.
  • Good time management and organizational skills - able to effectively manage a dynamic workload.
  • Able work effectively and efficiently independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to travel 30%
  • Fluent communicator in English. Second language, such as Spanish or Portuguese, a plus.
