Contract Manager (Turbocharger Agreements)

The Contract Manager (Turbocharger Agreements) executes agreements per contracts and Wärtsilä procedures, ensuring safe, cost-effective operations. Key responsibilities include customer communication, financial planning, risk assessment, and asset optimization. The role also supports the sales process and focuses on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

 

This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring two days per week of onsite work at our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Execute the assigned agreement in accordance with the written contract, Wärtsilä procedures, and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way.
  • Communicate actively with the Customer and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Lead collaboration with each internal stakeholder involved in delivering the scope of the agreement.
  • Prioritize actions leading to increased customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Financially plan, forecast, and monitor financial KPIs for each contract (sales, margin, etc.).
  • Complete target setting for own assigned contracts once a year.
  • Regularly assess the risks on assigned contracts and implement plans to mitigate those risks.
  • Communicate and escalate internally when required for issues/additional risks encountered and prepare summary and actions to overcome those.
  • Optimize assets such as inventories and fixed assets tied to the contract.
  • Ensure quality of work related to the contract execution.
  • Support the agreement sales process via the capture team and ensure accuracy of the cost calculation and risk mitigation at key stages of the sales process (Offer Review, Contract Review, etc.).
  • Ensure that the Customer meets the requirements of the contract (e.g., fluid quality).
  • Create sales leads and upselling opportunities for each assigned installation.
  • Implement new ways of working/tools to improve the deliverables of the contracts when applicable.
  • Initiate customer's feedback and renewal process towards the end part of the agreement.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for engineering.
  • At least five years of experience in the marine industry is required, with prior experience in contract management preferred.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of turbochargers is preferred.
