We are looking for a Contract Manager in our Marine Business division to join our dynamic and fast-paced agreement delivery team. Wartsila agreements provide solutions to the leading maritime companies in the US. The Contract Manager represents Wartsila in front of these customers and is the primary responsible for the successful and profitable delivery of the agreement.

 

This position is in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area and is a hybrid position.



What you will be doing

As a Contract Manager, you will communicate actively with your customer to ensure timely resolution of issues and prioritize actions leading to increased customer satisfaction as well as Wartsila' s profitability. You will lead the delivery team and collaborate with all internal stakeholders involved in delivering the scope of the agreement.



As a Contract Manager, you will focus on these responsibilities:
• Be accountable for customer satisfaction and the profitability of assigned agreements.
• Lead the agreement delivery team.
• Primary Wartsila representative facing the customer management and technical team.
• Plan, forecast and monitor the financial KPI's for each agreement (sales, margin etc).
• Implement when possible improved ways of working or tools to deliver the agreements.
• Execute the assigned agreement in accordance with the agreement and Wartsila procedures in a safe and cost-effective way.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• A strong understanding of the Maritime sector and the ability to translate this to tangible actions to support our customers.
• Excellent planning and execution skills that drive results.
• A customer service mindset and the willingness to go the extra mile.
• Technical education/mindset/experience and as a minimum basic understanding about engines
• Experienced leader with the ability to lead high performing teams.
• Willingness to travel approx. 10-20% of the time.
