About the role:
The Contract Manager for Wartsila North America will lead and manage marine accounts contract management activities in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to reach set quality, financial, cost and time targets.

The ideal candidate will have previous marine industry experience, strong relationship building skills, and must be located within the Ft. Lauderdale, FL region for a hybrid work schedule.  

 
Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing customer contracts and customer satisfaction
  • Customer Relationship Management throughout delivery of contract agreements
  • Execute assigned contracts in accordance with Wärtsilä procedures
  • Puts customer first - Prioritizes actions leading to increasing customer satisfaction
  • Continuously develop understanding how to create value for customer and customers business
  • Develop understanding for customers and what is required to ensure renewal of contracts
  • Plan, budget and manage result for the work under scope of contract
  • Optimize assets such as inventories, receivables, fixed assets etc. tied to the contract
  • Communicate with identified stakeholders as per procedures, including internal reporting
  • Ensure quality of work related to the contract execution.
  • Further improve and develop the working routines in accordance with the Contract Management processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Business Management or relatable field of study is preferred
  • 5 years’ experience in the marine industry is required
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Previous experience in Contract Management and contract negotiation skills
  • Ability to embrace a fast-moving environment and comfortable with quickly adapting to changing priorities
  • Successful applicants must be authorized to work in USA without sponsorship


Travel Requirements:
This position requires a 25% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations. The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location. Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfill these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.

Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. Salary range is $110,000 - $125,000, depending on experience and education. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.  Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods.  Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
