Wärtsilä Parts and Field Service is now looking for an enthusiastic Field Service Operations Coordinator to join our skilled Propulsion team in North America.

What will you be doing?
As a Field Service Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Field Propulsion Service Team, in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.
This position reports to Field Service Operations Manager.
Candidates are expected to display a high level of critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, as well as being self-motivating.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the Field Propulsion Service demand during the year and define appropriate actions (including recruiting).
- Development of your team competencies as required to address current and future needs.
- Ensure that the team is utilized effectively, having the right people in the right place at the right time.
- Responsible for briefing (Conducting Kick-off Meetings) and debriefing of the engineers (Conducting after Action Reports.)
- Utilizing the manpower in a fair and cost-effective way, follow and coach Field Service personnel in the field.
- Foster strategic relationships with institutes of leaning to attract and develop talent.
- Manage and maintain internal and external relationships, focused on achieving company targets.
- Facilitate good collaboration with key stakeholders throughout the delivery chain (Sales, Lifecycle Support, Agreements, Field Service).
- Contribute to the annual budget preparation and service forecast evaluations.
- Set the individual performance and development targets of your team.
- Monitor Field Service KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) such as Work in Progress, Time to Invoice, Margin, Orderbook, Quality, and Safety.
Main Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or technical university or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience in a technical service-minded organization is desired.
- 3-5 years of job-related experience with a technical degree and/or bachelor’s degree, and some project management experience or training is required.
- Service management skills and/or experience with coordinating service teams is desirable.
- Experience within a Mechanical/Maritime environment organization with an international scope is seen as an advantage.
- Understanding of the Field Service process and technical understanding of marine products and services, specifically in the Propulsion portfolios.
- English and Spanish language proficiency.
- Be proficient with process tools, such as SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview and FS Mobility

For applicants that reside in CA/CO/WA, the salary range is $90k-$110k.
For applicants that reside in NY, the salary/salary range/hourly wage range is $85k-$105k.
The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as overtime or bonus opportunities. Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods. Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
Effective January 2025, Wartsila companies in the USA will implement a new hybrid work model. Most employees who live within 40 miles of an office will work 2 days per week in office. This model will provide our employees the flexibility of working from home, while also providing the benefits of in-person collaboration twice a week.
