General Manager, Services Sales - Region North

We are now looking for a General Manager, Services Sales – Region North to join our team working for a better future. 

 

The position is permanent, and the preferred location is Fort Lauderdale, FL. Alternative locations such as Houston and Puerto Rico, may also be considered.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As General Manager, you will lead the transactional sales strategy for the Energy Business in the Americas North Region. You will oversee both the Account Management and Sales Support teams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and excellence in customer success. This role is critical to converting non-agreement customers into long-term partners.

You will report to the Director, Regional Operations North Region and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver value beyond the traditional.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the business related to existing installed base, installation uptime, service sales growth, technical performance of the installed base, identifying the corrective actions and follow-up the execution.

  • Ensure the implementation of the processes and tools according to business as well as Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines

  • Customers' pain points are identified, shared and addressed.

  • Proactive selling to non-agreement customers: Originate field service and upgrade project opportunities

  • Non-agreement customers in the region are committed to Wärtsilä with an agreement

  • Non-agreement customers in the region are committed to Wärtsilä products and services

  • Competence development for Account Management and Sales Support

  • Manage the transactional sales proposals process in Region North for field services.

  • Continuously looking for ways to develop new value propositions and winning proposals, as well adapt to the needs of the internal and external customers and market developments.

  • Enable growth in lifecycle sales and customer relationship with improved proposal quality, scope and speed to market.

  • Ensure consistent proposal tracking, documentation, and quality for all proposals produced by the team.

  • Drive profitable sales growth in Region North

  • Lead the CRM sales pipeline  management and maintenance, growth of the sales funnel and consistent follow-up of all opportunities.

  • Contribute with new concepts and out of box ideas to serve our customers and create value beyond the traditional.
