IT Project Manager - North America

We are now looking for an IT Project Manager – North America to join our Americas IT team, working for a better future. The required location for the position is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

 

What you will be doing

 

In this position, your work will include technical project management, stakeholder management, hands-on technology implementation, and configuration. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independence, as you will have the support from your line manager and teammates. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in enterprise technology infrastructure and experience from working with stakeholders at all levels. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from previous enterprise-level (and preferably global) employers and have relevant certifications. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have significant stakeholder management and customer service skills.

 

As an IT Project Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Serve as the local IM partner and focal point, proposing IM solutions that align with business requirements. 
  • Act as the local contact person for global IM teams. 
  • Maintain a service-oriented approach towards the internal clients. 
  • Handle exceptions for local ICT equipment (PCs, telecom, printers, projectors, telepresence, servers, server rooms, etc.).  
  • Manage local IM vendors and contracts for areas like telecom and printers. 
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for critical incidents and provide fast incident resolution. 
  • Assist in solving urgent IT related issues. 
  • Prioritize onsite support in case of conflicts.  
  • Provide support and guidance on the usage of IM solutions and services. 
  • Gather and channel local demands and complaints to the Area IM Manager 
  • Offer operational support for local systems and global rollouts and deliver technical trainings and information sessions. 
  • Support office relocation or other office changes including devices, printers, local servers, and cloud capacity,  
  • Performs technical tasks such as backups, software and hardware configurations and licence maintenance. 
  • Participate in global system rollouts, audits, and assessments as required. 
  • Provide user support for areas not covered by Global Service Desk 
  • Manage meeting room devices. 
  • Oversee asset and stock management throughout their lifecycle. 
  • Support large events by ensuring that the needed technology functions properly.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Academic background in IT
  • Experience working in a similar role earlier. 
  • Good understanding of ICT Services and solutions 
  • Knowledge of IT Systems and Applications 
  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations 
  • Experience in network management, IT Service Management, Data Security Management, Cyber Security
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written) 
  • Customer-centric approach 
  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.  
  • Team player mentality with good interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Demonstratable independence, proactiveness and adaptability. 
  • Reporting and analyzing skills. 
  • Skills in relationship management, collaboration, and delivering presentations, including with/to executives.

 

Travel Requirements: This position requires a 25% travel commitment, encompassing both domestic and international, including onshore and offshore locations. The role demands adaptability to varying travel demands, with an expectation of extended periods away from the primary work location. Prospective candidates should be prepared to fulfill these travel obligations as an integral aspect of the position's responsibilities.
