Wärtsilä Marine Power, Parts Delivery within Wärtsilä Global Logistics Services (WGLS) is now looking for a customer-oriented Manager to lead our Warehousing & Distribution North America team. In this position, you will be responsible for our local warehouse operations in Fort Lauderdale, Houston and logistics personnel in Vancouver, Canada.

 

You will have the overall responsibility for ensuring efficient operations of the local warehouse processes and outbound delivery handling. The preferred location for the position is in Fort Lauderdale FL, alternatively in Houston TX. In this role, some travel might be required.

 

As a Warehousing Manager, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Ensuring efficient warehouse operations with high quality and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Secure on time delivery, with on time picking and packing, on time loading and timely delivery to our customers. You are always having a high focus on quality and safety.
  • Developing and coaching own team to meet and reach set targets.
  • Developing and maintaining competent resources and employee satisfaction within own team.
  • Actively develop the way of working and process within own responsibility area.
  • Maintaining a good co-operation with all the stakeholders within own responsibility area.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have or be:

  • Good knowledge of warehousing processes, logistics processes and supply chain management.
  • Passionate about people and have proven leadership as well as team building skills.
  • Good communication and co-operation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Service minded and flexible, as well as the ability to make things happen.
  • Strong organiser with a structured approach to complete targets.
  • Experience of working within a global and multi-cultural environment.
  • SAP knowledge.
