Manager Regional Logistics

The Manager Regional Logistics is responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant logistics operations across the US. Key duties include managing warehouse facilities and personnel, overseeing external service providers, optimizing logistics processes, controlling budgets, ensuring adherence to regulations, and collaborating with global teams. The role also involves making data-driven decisions and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This position will report to the Manager Global Logistics and Transportation and will have one direct report as the team expands. 

 

Location: This position will be based in the Greater Fort Lauderdale Area and will operate in a hybrid capacity, requiring 2 days in the office each week. 

 

Key responsibilities: 
 

  • Ensure the safety and security of warehouse facilities and staff, external or internal. 

  • Disciplinary and functionally manage and lead the logistical team and contacts in US.  

  • Manage and oversee the performance of external providers, warehouse facilities and staff across multiple locations and ensure compliance with international warehousing regulations and standards. 

  • Develop and manage the logistical budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency. 

  • Close collaboration with the global transport and warehousing team, ensuring global standards. Participate in projects and initiatives as needed.  

  • Develop, implement, and monitor optimization strategies for operational processes. Create business cases for cost-efficient implementation and define and manage KPIs to steer and improve transport, warehousing and parts availability. 

  • Sourcing and analysis of logistics and transport data and visualization for data driven decisions. Present evaluations and analyses to all levels within the company. 

  • Manage and oversee the performance of transportation providers, including carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers. 

  • Assist in long-term volume planning with tendering and negotiation of transport services and storage locations for the region. 

  • Stay updated on regional industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve processes. 

  • Ensure compliance with international, regional and local laws and regulations, trade compliance, and standards. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, suppliers, and customers Communication and coordination with internal departments on all job levels. 

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • 5+ years in logistics management, preferably in a regional or global role. 

  • Must have familiarity with industry trends and regulations. 

  • Must ensure compliance with international, regional, and local laws. 

  • Experience managing warehouse facilities and staff is preferred. 

  • Knowledge of international warehousing regulations and standards. 

  • Budget development and cost control experience. 

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization. 

  • Negotiation skills for transport and warehouse services - must have. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to collaborate with global teams and participate in projects. 

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. 

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
