We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented People Partner - USA to join our HR team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive HR support to ca. 50 employees across mainly California and Florida, ensuring compliance with state and federal labor laws and fostering an engaging and inclusive workplace. You will act as a bridge between local teams and the global HR organization, delivering operational excellence and employee support.

 

This is a dynamic role suited for someone with strong HR generalist experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a good understanding of regional labor laws.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

Employee Relations and Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.

  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and programs to employee and managers.

  • Mediate and resolve employee disputes, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

 

HR Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, including wage and hour laws, leave management, workplace safety regulations, and antidiscrimination laws.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in labor laws, and proactively implement necessary updates to policies or processes.

  • Support audits or reviews related to HR practices and employee records.

 

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • As our Talent Acquisition Partner is located in Europe, you will be driving local recruitment processes for positions in the region, including screening, coordinating and conducting interviews, and facilitating offer processes.

  • Oversee onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company and adherence to regional requirements.

 

HR Administration:

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.

  • Support payroll and benefits administration by providing region-specific insights and resolving employee issues.

 

Employee Engagement and Culture:

  • Organize and promote employee engagement initiatives tailored to the region, ensuring alignment with company values and culture.

  • Provide training and support to managers on HR-related topics, including performance management, diversity and inclusion, and conflict resolution.

 

Qualifications
 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.

  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience, with at least 3 years in a regional or multistate role.

  • Minimum of 3+ years previous experience with California and Florida labor and employment requirements for both blue collar and white collar employees.

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees and managers across various levels.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with a focus on collaboration and employee satisfaction.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with global HR platforms is a plus.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 20%).

  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate regional needs and time zone differences.

  • Must be available to work in our Fort Lauderdale office at least three times per week.
