We are looking for Project Manager with previous experience in Marine market accountable for accomplishing the stated project objectives with appropriate quality for implementing Fleet Optimization Solutions (HW+SW) onboard of vessels.

 

Location: The preferred location is Fort Lauderdale, FL; additionally, this position can also be based in Melbourne, FL. This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence twice a week.

 

Key Responsibilities

Managing the triple constraint for projects, which are cost, time, and scope. This individual need not necessarily participate directly in the activities that produce the end result but strives to maintain the progress and mutual interaction and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and restricts costs.

 

Detailed Scope:

  • Work according to the Commercial Project Management process adopted in Wartsila Voyage, using appropriate tools;
  • Assist Account Manager to prepare competent project offer;
  • Ensure all areas of project management activities from the beginning to the end of the project, which includes:
  • Project components integrity management;
  • Procurement and contractors management, activity coordination with operational and logistic departments;
  • Project scope of supply planning, verification (FAT, SAT, etc.) and delivery;
  • Project schedule planning and control;
  • Project costing budget planning and control;
  • Cooperation with financial department;
  • Quality assurance during the project;
  • Project HR planning and management in cooperation with resource's line managers; coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work;
  • Project communication management including the delivery of project expectations, tasks, needs and progress reports to project team and the defined stakeholders in timely and clear fashion;
  • Project risk planning, assessment and control, pre-emptive and corrective actions to mitigate or minimize potential risks impact;
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team;
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path;
  • Proactively manage changes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Escalate changes which affect project cost or payment milestones to Project Sponsor, plan countermeasures;
  • Close project, conduct project evaluation, identify and report most successful and unsuccessful project elements for knowledge base
  • Follow Quality Management system requirements;
  • Adhere to internal company and functional policies and procedures;

Qualifications:

  • Higher technical education - BSc (Hons) or above, or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable experience of at least 2 years of project management in system integration of Marine solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge or previous experience in Marine market highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
