We are looking for a  Resource Coordinator to join our dynamic, fast-paced Electrical & Automation field service team. The desired location for this position is Fort Lauderdale FL.

 

What will you be doing

As a Resource Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management of the E&A field service personnel working in the USA, Canada, and the English-speaking Caribbean. You will be responsible for the professional capabilities, coaching and mentoring, and well-being of our field service personnel in support of our strategies and in compliance with our policies.

 

As a Resource Coordinator, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Technical and Professional development of Electrical & Automation (E&A) Field Service personnel, in accordance with department strategy and business needs with a focus on improving quality of service delivery.
  • Lead, manage, train, and coach E&A Field Service personnel within assigned region(s).
  • Actively evaluate Field Service demands for assigned region(s) and define actions to close resource demand vs. supply gaps, ensuring competent resources are available to our (internal) customers at the right time.
  • Perform Development Discussions with goal setting, following a global procedure based on performance indicators, strategic development plan, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Ensure the personnel utilization rate of assigned Field Service teams, achieving corporate goals, using corporate process tools including Service Work Force, Planning Board, and Field Service mobility applications.
  • Ensure that Field Services mission, vision, road map, processes, procedures, actions, tasks, and targets are communicated to the department to achieve goals.
  • Promote employee satisfaction and follow up on issues.
  • Develop and enhance relations and co-operation between Business Development, service organizations, local companies, government agencies, and local authorities in the assigned region(s).
  • Promote effective communication with other departments (including the Customer Assistance Center, Contract Management, Sales, etc.) according to needs and requirements and to ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate good collaboration from end-to-end for the field and technical service delivery chain (from end customer through internal stakeholders to Field Service and Technical Service organizations).
  • Follow-up and supervise needed actions to secure customer satisfaction regarding Field Service in assigned region(s).
  • Follow up on Field Service performance through regular reviews / reporting and taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Participate in annual budget planning for the assigned region(s), generate a technical training plan for personnel, considering the available resources, aiming at meeting the company's business strategy and performance objectives while increasing the team's capabilities and controlling the efficiency and utilization of trainings.
  • Monitor and require the use of available processes for monthly time control. Use development management tools (such as WeLearn and Professional Skills Management applications) to plan and track personnel development.
  • Manage and approve travel expenses created by your designated team (MyTravel application), complying with, and enforcing corporate policies, rules, and guidelines. Implement and review processes and procedures related to the geographic areas.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to be able to manage up to 17 or more direct reports (E&A Field Service Engineers) that will be performing Operation & Maintenance, Installation and Calibration services in existing or new build projects for Wartsila’s Reciprocating Engines and Battery Storage modules.
