About NACOS Marine:
NACOS Marine is embarking on an exciting journey as we establish ourselves as a standalone organization following a divestiture. As a subsidiary of Wärtsilä, NACOS Marine has approximately 750 employees globally, including 50 in the USA.
About the role:
The role as a Sales Engineer in Nacos Marine is to be working together with the rest of the Sales team supporting our customers, offering NACOS Platinum Automation and navigation solutions for new builds and retrofit sales in the AMER region. This will be performed by meeting with customers, promote our products, attend sales fairs, write & calculate technical offers, find new sales agents & grow existing relationships.
Location: This role is based in the Greater Fort Lauderdale Area and follows a hybrid working schedule, with two days per week in the office.
Main Responsibilities
- Support existing sales team with creating technical offers including calculating pricing
- Ensure that customer inquiries, orders or similar are responded to in a prompt and satisfactory manner.
- Develop, report and assume the responsibility for sales and sold margin budget for set region and/or assigned products and/or assigned agents and distributors.
- Maintain and further develop existing assigned customer and sales agent relationships.
- Identify and develop relationships with potential customers and sales agents.
- Create and maintain opportunities in CRM.
- Attend Fairs/ conferences etc.
- Perform presentations both in front of small and larger groups of people
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science, Maritime management, Marine engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in sales, customer service, or a related role
- Prior experience in the maritime industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
