We are now looking for a Service Engineer – Turbochargers to join our team working for a better future.
What You Will Be Doing?
As a Service Engineer specializing in ABB and Napier turbochargers, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality maintenance and overhaul services to our customers. You will troubleshoot mechanical and system integration issues, perform complex repairs, and ensure compliance with Wärtsilä QEHS standards. In addition, you will support on-site team leadership and provide accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
This Position Reports to the Field Service Resource Coordinator (MAR)
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting and system integration on ABB and Napier turbochargers.
- Execute overhauls and maintenance activities on ABB and Napier turbochargers.
- Learn and support on-site team leadership and manage assigned team activities during work execution.
- Monitor and report internal and external progress status of assigned work.
- Prepare accurate Service Work Reports according to Wärtsilä standards.
- Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Continuously seek solutions and apply best practices to improve service quality.
- Follow up and report on work order status to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support training and knowledge sharing within the team to enhance technical capabilities.
To be successful in this role:

- Relevant technical education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Moderate technical experience in ABB and Napier turbocharger repair and overhaul, preferably on Wärtsilä 46F, Wärtsilä 46, and Sulzer ZA40S type engines.
- Ability to interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during work execution.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) in languages needed to support the team.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in diverse cultural environments.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
