Wärtsilä Parts and Field Service is now looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader Field Service Planner, under the Marine Agreements team in Marine Field Services Region Americas.

<span 72="">What will you be doing?

 

<span 72="">As a Team Leader Field Service Planning, you will be responsible for leading other Planners, in addition to developing the Field Service Planning Team in the AMER Region, under the Marine Agreements team in Marine Field Services Region Americas team in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.

 

<span 72="">This position reports to the General Manager of Field Service Resources for Marine Agreements team in Marine Field Services Region Americas.

<span 72="">Candidates are expected to display a high level of critical thinking and reasoning skills, identify as high performers, as well as being self-motivating.

 

<span 72="">Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • <span 72="">Lead and develop the team of Field Service Planners in the team.
  • <span 72="">Ensure that all resource requests are correctly prioritized.
  • <span 72="">Receive requests via the joint resource area e-mail group and allocate resources as per the profile analysis required in Fieldwork orders through the Planning Board to ensure the availability of field staff.
  • <span 72="">Support Resource Coordinators in managing field staff's training, vacation, time off, and leave requirements through the planning framework to maintain uniform use of field staff, ensuring the best use and availability of the Field Service personnel encompassing coordination of visas, medicals, travel, etc.
  • <span 72="">Maintain confidentiality of personal details as appropriate
  • <span 72="">Promote effective communication with other departments (CAC, CM, Sales, etc.) to, according to needs and requirements, ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • <span 72="">Assist the Operations Coordinator with regular feedback from executed jobs.
  • <span 72="">Monitor and control the monthly process KPIs in Resources, seeking to provide information to those responsible for identifying potential failures and improvements through action plans.
  • <span 72="">Support Resource Coordinators in updating resource area documentation in the local digital archive to ensure document quality and standardization.
  • <span 72="">Prepare and send reports to Area Managers with monthly results obtained by analysing the KPIs monitored over the period.
  • <span 72="">To comply with the company's Quality, Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies.
  • <span 72="">In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not, of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.
  • <span 72="">Ensure that the team is utilized effectively, having the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • <span 72="">Development of your team competencies as required to address current and future needs and set the individual performance and development targets of your team.

 

<span 72="">Main Requirements:

 

  • <span 72="">Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or technical university or 5–10 years of equivalent work experience in a technical service-minded organization is desired.
  • <span 72="">Service management skills and/or experience with coordinating service teams is preferred.
  • <span 72="">Hands-on experience within a Mechanical/Maritime environment organization as a Field Service Representative or Engineer is an important requirement to be successful in this role.
  • <span 72="">Understanding of the Field Service process
  • <span 72="">English language proficiency (Spanish and/or Portuguese considered as plus)
  • <span 72="">Be proficient with process tools such as SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview and FS Mobility)

<span 72="">For applicants that reside in CA/CO/WA, the hourly wage range is $41-$50.

 

<span 72="">For applicants that reside in NY, the salary/salary range/hourly wage range is $38-$48.

 

<span 72="">The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods. Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
