Tool Coordinator, Field Services and Workshops

 

We are looking for a Tool Coordinator to join our dynamic, fast-paced Field Services and Workshops team in Fort Lauderdale FL.

 

What will you be doing

The successful candidate for this position will have overall accountability for all FS/WS tools in the USA. Using the current system for tool management, you will ensure that tools are properly documented, of top quality, and available for our dynamic FS/WS teams.

You will oversee the gathering and analyzing of data on different tools, as well as the storage of records and keeping of inventory. You are a team player with a safety mindset who works well with others while providing excellent service to internal customers. 

 

As a Tool Coordinator, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Manage tool ordering and inventory, including shipment tracking.
  • Record data, conduct analysis and develop recommendations for solutions or improvements.
  • Analyze and help resolve tool-related obstacles and supply issues.
  • Review tooling related issues and communicate with suppliers.
  • Plan, schedule, track and maintain appropriate status of tooling projects.
  • Organize, stock, and purchase spare parts for the tool crib.
  • Work with suppliers, leaders, and associates to achieve results.
  • Keep Tooling Management System up to date.
  • Support tool service/assembly dept. for tool assembly details. Physical tooling inspections.
  • PPE stock and distribution
  • Fixed/Movable Assets​
  • Field Service Vehicles​
  • Inventory planning and forecast.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Passionate, and pro-active with a strong desire to learn.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tool coordination
  • Have basic mechanical/trade knowledge would be an asset
  • Ability to use manual measurement devices, comparator, vernier, micrometer.
  • Proficient at reading technical prints and assembly drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Energetic, resourceful, and creative about finding solutions; with “growth” mindset
  • Committed to professional development and open to coaching
  • Has excellent communication, presentation, analytical and listening skills; exercises sound judgment with honesty and integrity
  • Experience with SAP, Qlikview, online meeting tools a plus
  • Ability to work in a multinational business environment
