We are now looking for a Tool Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (USA).

 

What You Will Be Doing?

 

As a Tool Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting field service operations through the effective management of tools, equipment, and calibration processes. Reporting to the Tool Coordinator Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring tool availability, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating calibration activities, and supporting logistics operations for field service projects.

 

Working closely with Service Managers, Engineers, Workshop personnel, and external calibration providers, you will help ensure tools are properly maintained, certified, and readily available to support customer projects safely and efficiently.

Your work will directly contribute to operational readiness, regulatory compliance, and the successful execution of field service activities across the region.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the lifecycle of tools and equipment, including inventory control, tracking, maintenance, and calibration activities.
  • Coordinate tool shipments to and from field service sites, workshops, and external calibration providers.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Tool Management System and ensure all calibration documentation is uploaded and up to date.
  • Monitor calibration schedules and proactively coordinate recertification activities to maintain compliance requirements.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory data within company systems.
  • Inspect, maintain, clean, pack, and unpack tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Support the planning, allocation, and billing of tools utilized for field service projects.
  • Coordinate logistics activities related to tooling, equipment, consumables, and service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO requirements and internal tooling management processes.
  • Manage PPE inventory levels and coordinate distribution to field and workshop personnel.
  • Collaborate with Service Managers, Engineers, and operational teams to resolve tooling-related challenges and ensure timely support for customer projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling management, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.

 

To Be Successful in This Role, We Expect You to Have:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in tooling coordination, workshop logistics, inventory management, field service support, or a related industrial environment.
  • Hands-on experience working with precision tools and calibration-controlled equipment.
  • Strong understanding of tool inventory management, logistics, and operational processes.
  • Ability to identify, inspect, and understand the application of industrial and precision tooling.
  • Experience coordinating calibration activities and working with external calibration laboratories would be considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems would be preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet changing operational demands.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, service personnel, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Previous experience as a mechanic, technician, or in a workshop environment would be considered an asset.
  • Forklift operating experience and/or certification would be preferred.
  • Professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Spanish language skills would be considered an asset.

Travel Requirements:

 

In this role, some domestic travel is required. While most activities are based in the workshop and warehouse environment, occasional travel to support operational activities, training, or tooling-related initiatives may be required. Estimated travel: 20%.

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility to support occasional weekend requirements.
