Wärtsilä, a SMART technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team working for a better future.
The position is permanent, and the location is Fort Lauderdale, FL.
What You Will Be Doing?
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will take ownership of daily warehouse operations at our Fort Lauderdale location. You’ll lead by example on the floor, making sure materials flow smoothly in and out, inventory is accurate, safety comes first, and our customers receive the best possible service.
This role blends hands‑on warehouse work with leadership responsibilities. You’ll coordinate people, processes, and partners, support operational planning, and step in whenever leadership or problem‑solving is needed — including acting as backup for the Warehouse Manager and participating in on‑call duty.
You’ll work closely with warehouse associates, internal teams, transportation partners, vendors, and customers, playing a key role in keeping operations running efficiently and reliably.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and service quality.
- Plan and manage warehouse capacity to meet operational demands.
- Oversee inbound and outbound flows — receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and production orders.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of trucks and containers, including forklift and equipment operation.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through inspections, cycle counts, and system updates.
- Act as the main local contact for internal teams, customers, vendors, transportation partners, and Real Estate.
- Coach, train, and support warehouse associates, including onboarding new team members.
- Drive problem‑solving and continuous improvement when issues arise.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, housekeeping, and availability of tools and supplies.
- Support local transportation requests and participate in on‑call duty as required.
- Step in for the Warehouse Manager when needed.
- Promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments and safe ways of working.
- Deliver excellent customer service every day.
What You Bring?
Education
- High school diploma or technical education in logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.
Experience
- Experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally in industrial or service environments.
- Experience leading or coordinating daily warehouse activities.
- Comfort working in fast‑paced, hands‑on operational settings.
Skills & Mindset
- A strong safety‑first mindset and ability to assess operational risks.
- Hands‑on leadership and coaching style.
- Strong planning, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and on‑call duty as required.

- Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems.
