Wärtsilä Customer Assistance Warranty Services, Warranty Management Europe, is looking for a Warranty Expert for French customers.

Preferred location; Wartsila France 



We offer an interesting position as Warranty Expert within the Customer Assistance Warranty Services, Warranty Management Europe.
In this position you will be responsible for securing prompt resolution of all warranty related issues within your own area of responsibility with close co-operation with warranty management functions and other stakeholders. The role requires close and professional customer interaction to ensure quality improvement and implementation based on client claims and via technical input or expertise. You will join the team with long warranty handling experience and strong product knowledge.  



  • Closely work with warranty management functions and other stakeholders to secure prompt resolution of all warranty related issues within own area of responsibility
  • Manage warranty claims related corrective actions from A to Z.
  • Proactive follow-up claims with customer and warranty management functions.
  • Secure corrective action in a timely manner, meaning problem solving, technical request and utilization of field service resources.
  • Initialising Field service attendances by using the warranty systems.
  • Coordinate parts shipments and reverse logistics related to claimed components.
  • Initiating supplier management claims
  • Constantly share lessons learned with team members and other stakeholders to improve the overall performance.
  • Follow Wärtsilä business ethics and code of conduct.
  • Act as an installation owner and handle claims within the frame work of the contract of the concerned projects.



  • Technical knowledge, and willing to learn about the portfolio.
  • Service mind set and customer understanding.
  • Engine product and ore maritime experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Excellent, proven team working skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making capability.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Contractual and commercial knowledge.
  • Cultural knowledge.  
  • Proactiveness.
  • Database experience e.g. SAP, CRM teams etc is beneficial
  • French & English fluent mandatory. Other language is an advantage
