Operative Purchaser

 

We are looking for an Operative Purchaser with a main responsibility in handling the categories of hydraulics, installation vibrations, MRO production, injection equipment and auxiliary modules. The preferred location for this position is in Frauenfeld (Switzerland), but also Hamburg (Germany) and Triest (Italy) can be considered. In this position, hybrid working is an option, too.

 

Your role and responsibilities

 

As an Operative Purchaser your work will include the tasks you can see below. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of a team focused on 2-Stroke Marine Engines, with diverse expertise and located in different parts of Europe.

 

Responsibilities for the position

 

  • Execute purchase orders, order monitoring, confirmations, and rescheduling.
  • Review and verify technical specifications and requirements as basis.
  • Proactively work to enable cross-divisional, cross-organisational and supplier cooperation.
  • Create and issue forecasts to suppliers when applicable.
  • Approving of payments to suppliers according to delegation of authority.
  • Maintenance of master data in SAP R/3 MM.
  • Negotiate and execute spot buys within given guidelines.
  • Support non-conformity/warranty process management.
  • Execution of Workflow tasks in SAP R/3 MM.
  • Monitor and report supplier performance (i.e. delivery reliability, lead time and price).

  • Very good English knowledge.
