Strategic Purchaser

We are now looking for an experienced Strategic Purchaser professional to join our team. The position is permanent, and the location is Busan, Republic of Korea.

The key purpose of this role is to negotiate, create and maintain supply chain contracts with suppliers and/or improve supply performance and supplier relationships in a defined area of responsibility

What you will be doing?:

A Strategic Purchaser will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop supplier base, performance, relationships, and negotiations in close cooperation with Divisions/BLs/Support Functions and Category Managers (when applicable)
  • Create and update agreements with suppliers, maintain SAP Outline Agreements and material/supplier master data in relevant parts, when applicable
  • Lead/support/participate in negotiations, secure capacity, and forecasting
  • Ensure respective KPIs are met for own area of responsibility
  • Analyse future supply demand in cooperation with the needed functions
  • Gather and analyse spend and supplier data, execute benchmarking, provide data to the relevant functions
  • Support non-conformity/warranty process management in escalated issues (Escalates quality, delivery, or technical problems with the supplier for non-categorized suppliers)
  • Secure compliance to Supply Management processes/procedures, strategies, and agreements
  • Secure preconditions for (and execute and manage) test/spot orders (when applicable)
  • Execute/support material/services for cost budgeting and follow-up
  • Execute/support supplier selection/rationalisation process
