System Integration Engineer Digitalisation

We are now looking for a System Integration Engineer Digitalisation to join our Product Group team in Product Engineering to be a key player in bridging both technical and commercial elements and  providing support to the Product Manager on full lifecycle support of our digital products.


This is a permanent opportunity and the preferred location for the position is in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.




As a System Integration Engineer Digitalisation, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 


  • Act as a project manager with focus on technical coordination for digital related projects.
  • Setting up of algorithms for new Engine Reference Type (ERT)  for Asset Diagnostics; provide the input to Digital Product Development.
  • Deliver life cycle management of algorithms for individual installations.
  • Follow up of anomaly detection model and monitor the performance of the tools.
  • Provide the 2-stroke relevant input to Digital Product Development for new projects and participate in the pilot projects.
  • Work out the technical needs and closely collaborate with Digital Product Development to develop the new product, according to the identified needs for 2-stroke: e.g. dashboard on WDCU.
  • Participate in the technical meetings with Digital Product Development, making sure that the 2-stroke requirements are specified and met during development.
  • Support Product Management with contract management and participate in customer meetings on a technical basis to respresent 2 stroke
  • Handle all work packages related to digitalization and 2-stroke development needs.
  • Be a technical contact for internal stakeholders
  • Translate the feedback to Digital Product Development and resolving of issues in due time, recording the needs for next development phases.
  • Participate in the technical meetings with WinGD
  • Coordinate new developments related to predicitive maintenance including sensor technology
  • Deliver acurate documentation, specifications and relevant customer information packages e.g. manuals


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 


  • Bachelor or Masters in Informtation Technology or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qork experience
  • Strong exposure to resolutions, integration, and deployment designs
  • Prior experience of large-scale system integrations project
  • Performing technical issue resolution and root-cause analysis (RCA)
  • Direct interfaces with internal and external technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of engine control systems, UNIC, WECs
  • Self-driven, requiring minimum supervision to see activities through to closure
  • Good interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-organisational team



In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately up to 10% of the time, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
