Testing and Validation Expert

Our Engineering Services Department are looking to welcome an enthusiastic and passionate Testing and Validation Expert. This role is a permanent opportunity and will be based in Frauenfeld, Switzerland.

What will you be doing?


As a Testing and Validation Expert, your work will focus on these responsibilities:


  • Responsible for planning and execution of tests on engines in service
  • Responsible for delivering tasks assigned by line manager on time, to budget and to the required standards;
  • Perform tests and measurement campaigns in factory and/or on board vessels, according to the job specification;
  • Report preparation with test and measurement results for required stakeholders;
  • Maintain the measurement equipment


You will shine in this role when you have:


  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with WECS and UNIC (Engine control unit) systems is a plus for this position.
  • Broad knowledge of measurement technologies and data analysis tools.
  • Practical experience of working with heavy duty diesel engines.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics.
  • Willing to work abroad (up to 30%).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-organised and willing to learn.
  • Team player comfortable to work in a multi-cultural environment
