As The GM Field Services Americas you will be responsible for:

Planning
- Ensure Field Services Resources competence development and availability in Area Americas Field Services, in line with local and global needs.
- Plan FS training needs together with AMER SU’s.
- Communicate Field Services processes, action planning, tasks and targets.
 

Activities

- Ensure FS strategy is in place for area and actions are in lpace and followed up.
- Ensure implementation of global Field Services processes and way of working.
- Enhance QEHS awareness in Area Americas Field Services

- Ensure successful implementation of operational development initiatives in cooperation with global shared business operations.

- Make FS ready for future businesses, like digitalization, renewables, etc.

  • Ensure global strategy roll out and support in the Area.
  • Continuous developing our FS resources and supporting processes and tools we open the position of GM FS to ensure future skilled and profitable recourses to support our products and our clients needs.
  • The GM will take a proactive role in developing new products and markets to ensure high availability and efficiency for our deliveries and customer’s needs.
  • The GM coordinates the competence developments and training needs as well as future investments needs together with the global organization.
  • The admin process like invoicing reporting tools and or harmonization on a global level is included in the scope.



Review and reporting
- Follow up, consolidation and reporting of AMER Field Services operative and financial performance.
- Follow up FS quality performance through reviews and reporting.
- Provide input from Area to shared business operations.

- Plan and/or implement AMER or CENTRAL-AMER FS strategical initiatives e.g. TO.

Accountability:

- Define FS Strategy for area and take actions accordingly.

- Performance follow up and monthly reporting of Area Americas FS activities.
- Area responsibility and roll-in Manager for ongoing and upcoming shared business operations operational development initiatives.
- Field Services resources, way of working and competencies at Area level.

- Area responsibility and project/roll-in Manager for ongoing and upcoming AMER FS strategical initiatives.
 

Desired Skills\Education\Experience

  • The successful candidate will have above average communication skills coupled with refined leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse and technical team of individuals.
  • Previous experience with cost awareness and financial operations.
  • The ability to make both technical and non-technical presentations to groups both within the organization and externally.
  • Previous experience with reporting tools and deadlines
  • A minimum of 5+ years of strategic planning and target setting
  • At least 5+ years of team building and team creation experience coupled with coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and positive decision making abilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Wartsila product lines
  • A demonstrated ability to provide extreme customer service resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction internally and externally.
  • A minimum of a MSc / BSc degree or equivalent in Business or Engineering
