To keep up with our steadily increasing Field Service (FS) activities in Sweden, we are now looking for a dynamic Local Operations Manager to join our skilled Field Service Operations team. The role is offered as a permanent contract and the location is Gothenburg, Sweden.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Local Operations Manager in Wärtsilä Sweden (WSE) for Region North Europe, you would be leading our team of seven highly skilled FS Coordinators and FS Administrative Coordinators. Your tasks will revolve around managing the Field Service Operations team, overseeing and leading development activities, along with accountability for the overall performance.

 

 

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Leading, coaching, and supporting the professional development of personnel within the FS Operations Team, while also balancing their workload.
  • Sustaining close cooperation between internal functions, e.g., Sales, Sales Proposals, Resources, Workshop, and Operations. 
  • Ensuring good internal cooperation and communication within the team, fostering an inclusive environment, and emphasizing wellbeing.
  • Ensuring smooth and lean order handling process, from hand-over from Sales to final invoicing.
  • Pursuing continuous improvement activities with regards to the order handling process.
  • Participation in development projects when applicable, assuring that local implementation/actions performed as agreed.
  • Actively seeking FS growth opportunities in the WSE business area.
  • Continuously striving to achieve improvements in daily work.
  • Membership of the Region North Europe FS Operations Management Team.
  • Accountability for the overall performance of the FS Operation WSE team.

 

 

The below will enable you to succeed in this role:

 

  • Relevant educational background or proven work experience in the field.
  • A broad perspective and experience from Service Delivery, along with good understanding of Field Service processes.
  • Experience with process development and continuous improvement related tasks, along with an improvement mindset.
  • Experience with people management along with proven leadership qualities.
  • Proficient level of Swedish and English languages, both written and verbal (other Nordic languages will be considered an advantage).
  • People-oriented and collaborative approach, with the ability to communicate smoothly with a variety of both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to juggle demanding tasks under pressure.
  • Commitment to your work along with determination and persistence to finalise what you have started.
  • Excellent team working skills and the ability to adjust and adapt when faced with a challenge.
