Sales Representative - Life Cycle/Aftermarket (Sales Manager)

We are now looking for a Sales Manager to join our sales team of four, working for a better future. The team is responsible for the sales of the complete power train to Swedish shipowners and for supporting their vessels throughout their entire lifecycle.
The preferred location for the position is in Gothenburg, Sweden.
What you will be doing
As a Sales Manager, you will work with our existing customers within the shipping industry, focusing mainly on aftermarket services. You will collaborate closely with various departments and product lines within Wärtsilä to drive business expansion by establishing and maintaining solid relationships with customers.
Your main responsibilities will include organizing and leading customer meetings in accordance with account plans, organizing customized customer seminars, and coordinating targeted marketing activities. You will also focus on maximizing business growth and profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, and managing relationships with customers. Additionally, you will be responsible for setting targets per customer account, creating, maintaining, and managing customer visit reports, and tracking larger opportunities in our CRM system.
To be the best match for this role, we expect you to have a good understanding of the Swedish shipping industry. The ideal candidate will have significant interaction with existing customers, traveling to customer locations mainly around the Gothenburg area. We are looking for someone who excels in building relationships, fostering trust, and demonstrating strong communication skills while maintaining a structured approach. You understand that the foundation of successful sales lies in the ability to connect with clients on a personal level and build long-lasting relationships. You are transparent, honest, and reliable in all your dealings, and you follow through on your commitments to ensure that your clients feel valued and respected.
As Sales Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop, report and assume accountability for sales and sold margin targets among assigned customer accounts
- Coordinate sales activities for assigned accounts
- Account planning, execution & implementation review
- Organise and lead customer meetings in accordance with account plans
- Organise customized customer seminars and coordinate applicable targeted marketing activities
- Maximize business growth & profitability
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Relationship management with customers
- Target setting per customer account
- Create, maintain and manage customer visit reports and larger opportunities in CRM
You will shine in this role, when you have:
- Insight and knowledge regarding the Swedish shipping industry through previous working experience
- Preferably basic technical understanding or willingness to learn
- Computer literacy (Microsoft, SalesForce, CRM)
- Professional communication skills, written and verbally, in Swedish and English
