We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Service Engineer, Electrical (F/M), to strengthen our Field Service team Gdansk, Poland.
We are also open to considering candidates with slightly lower levels of experience, depending on their overall skills and potential.

Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior Service Engineer, Electrical, your role will focus on executing field service activities on Wärtsilä installations, including LNG installations. Your main focus will be 4-stroke engine automation and control systems, along with other Wärtsilä products. This role requires a high level of travel (around 80%), so flexibility and willingness to travel are key.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out electrical and automation field service activities on Wärtsilä offshore and onshore installations.
- Plan and execute installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning checks and tests for power plant projects.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and commissioning activities on 4-stroke engine automation and control systems, along with other Wärtsilä products.
- Troubleshoot by identifying failures, adjusting, attending trial runs, and testing of installations according to performance requirements.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance and positive interactions.
To be successful in this role, we expect you have:
- B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar relevant educational background.
- Previous experience in a similar field service or engineering role.
- Knowledge of and experience with 4-stroke engines, automation and power generation systems.
- Good command of English and Polish, verbally and in writing.
- Willingness to travel worldwide up to 80% of the time, with flexibility to take on service assignments at short notice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
- Strong organizational skills combined with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
Experience in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:
- Speed governors.
- Engine auxiliary systems.
- Power generators.
- Distribution switchboards.
- PLC automation systems.
- Propulsion control systems.
- Energy battery storage.
- Variable frequency drives.
- LNG installations.
- Hybrid solutions.
- Ship electrification systems.
