We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to promote Energy Business strategic objectives in Poland and Germany.
The preferred location for the position is in Gdańsk but also other locations in Poland are possible. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.
As a Business Development Manager , your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Active engagement with local stakeholders to promote and educate on Wärtsilä solutions
- Define and execute country action plans
- Lead Business development and sales projects in the specified countries
- Responsible for forecasting of sales volumes in defined countries
- Manage, monitor, and develop the sales projects in own responsibility area and report the progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and develop relationships with customers and other stakeholders
- Maintain and further develop present assigned customer relationships.
- Organize and participate in sales meetings with customers.
- Ensure high level customer relationship management
- Proactively work to enable cross-organizational cooperation throughout the sales
- Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts
- Ensure compliance with Wartsila internal business processes
You will shine in this role when you have:
- BSc or MSc or equivalent in a technical or commercial degree
- Minimum 5 years working experience in sales within the power industry.
- Excellent understanding of the energy business.
- Have knowledge of engines technology and energy challenges.
- Understand business objectives and customer value creation
- Strong drive for performance with positive attitude and can-do mind-set in an environment of multiple, changing priorities
- Communication, cooperation and influencing skills, experience in working in a matrix organization
- Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams
- Advanced skills in facilitation, presentation and problem-solving skills
- Good presentation and networking skills
- Strategic oriented mind-set, positive and analytical approach
- Financial knowledge and contractual & legal skills (ability to draft).
- Fluency in speaking and writing in English, Polish, and German.
