Field Service Coordinator 2-Stroke

Our 2-Stroke Field Service team is now looking for a dynamic Field Service Coordinator to coordinate Field Service (FS) activities in regions Europe and Africa. The role is offered as a permanent contract and the preferred location is Gdansk, Poland. In accordance with our hybrid work model, you will be able to work partially remotely.

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

As a Field Service Coordinator in the 2-Stroke Field Service EUAF team, your main responsibilities include coordinating and planning Field Service work orders, ensuring that work is executed in accordance with specified requirements, project timelines, and cost targets. You will lead administrative activities related to Field Service operations and maintain regular communication with Service Engineers and various stakeholders to provide support and monitor progress, ultimately fostering a culture of collaboration and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Coordinating 2-stroke Field Service activities such as overhauls, maintenance, and troubleshooting for region Europe and Africa.
  • Coordinating activities for Field Service Engineers throughout assignments, ensuring that service jobs are completed within agreed time frame and budget.
  • Supporting and facilitating Field Service activities, including spare parts management, cost and time scheduling, and related reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Serving as the primary contact and liaison between the customers, Field Service Engineers, and Job Planners for assigned work orders, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Following up and reporting the status of work orders to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintaining close cooperation with relevant stakeholders and related functions to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensuring that service work is planned and executed in adherence to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, as well as local requirements and site procedures.
  • Occasionally handling Field Service non-conformities and re-work orders.
  • Monitoring Field Service margins and preparing documentation for work orders post-completion to ensure timely invoicing.

 

 

The below will enable you to succeed in this role:

 

  • MSc or BSc in Engineering or relevant work experience to compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Experience in Field Service or Service Delivery related roles.
  • Experience with project management or coordinating.
  • General knowledge of Wärtsilä products, particularly 2-stroke, is advantageous.
  • Understanding of technical terminology and the scope of service jobs to enable accurate resource allocation.
  • Team-player mindset, promoting collaboration and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proactive and structured approach to work, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and professional growth.
  • Quality and safety-focused approach.  
  • Fluent Polish and proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Drive for the common goal of providing our customers with the best possible service experience.
