Field Service Superintendent 4-stroke - Poland

We are now looking for a Field Service Superintendent (4Sroke) to join our team in Poland, working for a better future.

 

What You Will Be Doing

As a Superintendent specializing in 4-stroke engines, you will lead and execute field service activities for marine and industrial applications. Your responsibilities will include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of 4-stroke engine systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our customers. You will act as a technical expert and team leader, providing guidance during complex service operations and maintaining compliance with Wärtsilä QEHS standards.

Your work will directly contribute to enhancing customer trust and ensuring operational excellence across diverse projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute field service activities for 4-stroke engines, including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to service teams during complex operations.
  • Ensure all work complies with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Prepare accurate service reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates and solutions during work execution.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and quality throughout all service activities.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior technicians to strengthen team capabilities.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
 

  • Relevant technical education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical expertise in 4-stroke engine systems for marine and industrial applications.
  • Proven experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of 4-stroke engines (experience with Wärtsilä 46F, Wärtsilä 46, and Sulzer ZA40S is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams during field operations.
  • US Visa B1/B2 (mandatory for travel).
  • Availability for domestic and international travel.
