As a Sales Proposal Engineer (m/f/d), you join an expanding team in Germany (Hamburg office) or Poland (Gdansk office), but also work in close cooperation with colleagues located in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands and the UK. You will work in close cooperation with the local Sales Managers and Field Service Coordinators.
Your role is fundamental for the success of our international service projects related to the maintenance, repair, retrofit and upgrades of the assets of our maritime customers. Your focus will be on our 4 Stroke (4s) solutions. You will be part of a team that develops business strategies which drive growth and profitability, support sales performance and leverage high-level customer experience. In this position you are reporting to the Manager Sales Proposals, Germany + Poland.
What will you be doing?
As Sales Proposals Engineer (m/f/d) your work will focus on these responsibilities:
• Preparation of sales proposals and supporting presentation material & documents for Spare Parts and Field Service.
• Determination, review and approval of the calculated margin and proposal risk.
• Support in presenting and explaining proposals to customer.
• Building of sales funnel e.g. through maintenance planning and dry-docking dates.
• Assist to coordinate internal and external promoting of solutions and success stories.
• Ensure all data and quality of the data in our CRM system.
• Approval of offers within approval guidelines.
• Use of data and analytics to identify new opportunities and the team performance.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• You hold a technical background, preferably with an education in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technical Business Administration or similar.
• Affinity with technical and financial calculations, offer creation and a commercial drive.
• Speaking and writing in both English and German is seen as a major advantage.
• Customer focus (internal/external) and capability of building business relationships.
• High level of detail and comprehension, while ensuring a high level of pro-activity and flexibility.
• It is seen as a plus, if you have experience with negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Contributor towards developing a healthy team spirit and team dynamics.
• Have advanced knowledge of MS Office and CRM (Salesforce) applications.
