Senior Service Engineer Mechanical

We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer to join our Pool of resources in Gdansk, Poland.  

 

Your role and responsibilities

 

As a Senior Service Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Perform mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on Wärtsilä 4-stroke products or similar medium bore diesel engines, including overhauling engine components, conducting engine troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and component investigations.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Prepare service reports and travel expenses after the completion of service jobs according to Wärtsilä standards.
  • Work according to regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions, including the management system and environmental quality.

 

Requirements for the position

 

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
  • Previous experience as Mechanical engineer on Wartsila Diesel Engine or similar Medium bores applications.

 

As an ideal candidate you might also have…

 

  • Information Management skills, including MS Office Tools.
  • Strong knowledge of auxiliary’s equipment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with people from different culture.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Motivation to learn and grow professionally.
  • Ability to travel approximately 7-8 months per year 
  • Ability to generate technical reports.
  • Good command of English in speaking and writing. 
  • Good level of Polish language proficiency is required.
