Senior Service Mechanic

We are looking for the Senior Service Mechanic.

Location for the position is Gdańsk. The position is permanent. 


What will you be doing?
As a Senior Service Mechanic, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • participating and carry out 4- stroke Engine components overhaul and service in the workshop
  • ensure all necessary work were done by a good quality, all necessary documentation and service reports are in order
  • maintain the quality & efficiency of mechanical work performed (as measured by warranty costs) & in accordance with manufacturers specifications & ISO procedures
  • ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers
  • adherence all Wartsila regulations, policies, work procedures & instructions and as well as Polish labour law
  • adherence to all safety rules and use of all appropriate safety equipment
  • fulfil all tasks ordered by the Foreman - Team Leader


You will shine in this role when you have:

  • min 3-4 years working experience in diesel or gas engines in repair/maintenance
  • education: minimum Technical school (preferably Mechanical)
  • fluent Polish
  • possession of certificate of fork lift and gantry crane will be seen as advantage
  • readiness to travel max 2-4 times/ 1-3 weeks per year
  • ability to work under pressure as well as the flexibility to take part in overtime and weekend shifts if needed 
  • reliable with excellent communication skills
  • ability to work to deadlines and problem solve
  • ability to work effectively within teams as well as independently
  • basic knowledge of the English language- will be an additional advantage
