Team Leader

We are now looking for a Team Leader to join our forward-looking GEO Service Pool team.  The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Gdansk, Poland.


What will you be doing


As a Team Leader you will be the manager of a group of travelling service engineers and superintendents based in Gdansk/Poland. Their job is to provide service to our customers around the globe mainly on the ships and power plants. Your job is to motivate and develop our employees so that they will and can perform on a high level in order to achieve high customer satisfaction. The character of our business needs you to have good knowledge about Polish labor law and health & safety regulations.
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure that we allocate the right resources for best performance and ensure that the employees have the right competences and skill set. Meeting the Customer satisfaction and “first time right” attitude is our major goal.


You will shine in this role when you have:


good leadership skills meaning high moral and ethics, a capability of showing the right directions and stand for your decisions. You need to be able to listen and be open to changes. It is important that you are able to have a constructive dialogue with your employees and constantly drive the business forward.
We are looking for a person who understands Wärtsilä business and importance of our Customers. Since the Team Leaders belong to medium management, we expect them to understand and demonstrate their role as employer’s representative.
Since Poland is a part of GEO organization this job requires that you can work independently but also communicate and collaborate well in a matrix-organization.


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

 

  • Bachelor degree or higher

(Technical/engineer degree will be an advantage)

  • Leadership skills
  • Coaching skills
  • English language - proficient level
  • Computer skills
  • Planning skills
  • Managerial skills
  • Experience in PSM, SAP, Planning Board
  • Technical knowledge and experience on Wartsila engines as well as site experience will be one of the most welcomed decision factor.
